Milk Gravy

Milk Gravy

Milk gravy is quick and easy to prepare! If you've just made bacon or a roast, use the leftover fat from that in place of butter.

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups whole milk
Fresh black pepper
Pinch of salt

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Stir in flour, stirring constantly for about 1 minute. Slowly add milk in increments, stirring constantly and scraping the bottom and sides with your Old Country Kitchenware Spatula. Stir in pepper and salt and continue cooking. Continue to stir until gravy is thickened to your desired consistency.
