An Introduction to Your New Square Tube Cake Pan

An Introduction to Your New Square Tube Cake Pan

Our pan is constructed of two pieces. It's designed for Angel Food Cakes and can also be used for Pound Cakes and other recipes.

Here are a few things you should know about your new pan:

1. Angel Food Cake batter will not leak, but other cake recipes may. To prevent drips, I recommend tracing the center piece on parchment paper, then cutting it out and slipping between the two pieces. I also like to place a baking sheet on the rack below the cake in the oven to catch potential drips.

2. The pan is made from aluminum, and placing it in the dishwasher will damage the finish. I recommend hand washing only. A toothpick can help clean crumbs from tight spots.

3. You do not need to grease the pan for Angel Food Cakes, but for other recipes I recommend preparing the pan with baking spray or pan coat.

4. The pan holds 18 cups of batter, so recipes designed for 12 cup pans (most Bundt cake recipes) will not fill the pan completely. If you want mile high cakes, look for Angel Food Cake recipes with at least 12 egg whites and Pound Cake recipes with at least 4 cups of flour. Try the recipes on the back of the label - I love them and I hope you will as well.
